You have a room you walk past. An office you rarely work in. A sitting room that looks lovely, but nobody sits in it.
Or maybe you keep trying to finish a room and every new thing leaves it feeling exactly the same.
Sometimes nothing is obviously wrong. It just doesn’t feel right.
If any of that sounds familiar, the problem may not be what you think it is.
When a room isn’t working, buying something is usually the first response.
A rug. A lamp. More storage. A better chair.
Sometimes it looks better afterwards.
And the room still doesn’t work.
That’s because buying only helps when you already know what the problem is.
Often, the real issue sits underneath the furniture.
What the room is actually for.
Whether it reflects the people living in it.
Whether it still fits your life.
Or whether something small is getting in the way of a room that otherwise works.
The most important decisions about a space often happen before you decide how it should look.
That’s what The Room Diagnostic helps you uncover.
The Room Diagnostic is a personalised diagnosis of one room in your home, based on how you actually live in it.
A clear explanation of the pattern showing up in your room, what may be happening beneath the problem you can see, and why previous fixes may not have worked.
Not a list of ten things to change.
The first decision worth making before you spend more money or start changing the room.
Because not everything needs fixing.
Your diagnosis also identifies what may be worth leaving alone.
A simple page to help you think through your first decision and separate what matters now, next and later.
A short video from me explaining your particular room pattern and the mistake people often make when they experience it.
I’ll email you a week after your diagnosis arrives to see what has landed, what you’re noticing differently and whether anything still feels unclear.

Example only. Every Room Diagnostic is created individually from the customer’s own answers.
You might think your living room needs redecorating.
But perhaps it’s still organised around a family life that has changed, and the question isn’t what to buy next. It’s what role that room should play now.
Or you might think your office needs a better desk when almost everything in the room already works and one unresolved thing keeps getting in the way.
Sometimes a room isn’t unfinished at all. It simply doesn’t feel connected to the person living in it.
I use six recurring room patterns to help identify what may be happening underneath the surface.
Your Room Diagnostic applies that framework to your answers and your room, so you can stop trying to solve the wrong problem.
ONE
It takes about ten minutes and you can complete it on your phone.
Some questions are simple selections and others give you space to explain.
If talking is easier than typing, use the microphone on your keyboard and talk your answer through.
TWO
Your answers are analysed against the Room Diagnostic framework I’ve developed.
AI helps me apply that framework consistently, but the methodology and thinking behind it are mine.
I then personally review every diagnosis before it is sent.
THREE
Within 48 hours of submitting your questionnaire, you’ll receive your personalised report, working page and access to your pattern video.
There are plenty of tools that will look at a photograph of your room and tell you what to change.
This isn’t one of them.
A photograph can show me what your room looks like.
It can’t necessarily tell me why nobody sits in it.
It can’t tell me that you work from the sofa, that you’ve bought three lamps trying to make the room feel better, or that the room stopped feeling like yours when your life changed.
That’s what I need to understand, so that’s what I ask.
And that’s also why this isn’t a layout service or a shopping list.
I won’t tell you where to put your sofa or give you a list of furniture to buy.
The Room Diagnostic tells you what the problem is, so you can stop solving the wrong one.

I’m Chantelle, Creative Director of Clarke & Co.
I don’t start with style.
I start with how you live.
Before moving into interior design, I worked as a social worker, and that experience shaped the way I look at spaces today.
Understanding how people actually live, behave and adapt can tell you far more than simply asking what they want their room to look like.
That thinking eventually developed into my Spatial Identity approach: looking at a room through the person who uses it, how the space feels to live in, and whether the story the room is telling still fits.
I built The Room Diagnostic from that approach and from the way I work with clients.
Your answers are read through the framework I’ve developed, with AI helping me analyse them consistently.
Then I personally review your diagnosis before it reaches you.
It’s my methodology and my judgement, applied to your room.
Founding price
USD 47
The price will increase after the founding release. I personally review every diagnosis.
And USD 47 is less than the last thing you bought for the room.
You can request a full refund within seven days of purchase, as long as you haven’t submitted your questionnaire.
Once you submit your answers, work begins on a diagnosis created specifically from them, so refunds are not available after that point.
Yes.
The Room Diagnostic is not based on renovating or making permanent changes.
It helps you understand what is happening in the room you live in now and what decision is worth making first, whether you own the property or not.
It is an interior design diagnostic, rather than a traditional design service.
You won’t receive a room layout, mood board or shopping list.
The aim is to understand what is actually happening in the room before you decide what, if anything, should change.
Each Room Diagnostic is for one room.
If you have several rooms bothering you, start with the one creating the most friction or uncertainty.
You can purchase another diagnostic for a different room later.
The questionnaire takes around ten minutes.
Your completed Room Diagnostic will be delivered within 48 hours of submitting your questionnaire.
No.
The Room Diagnostic is designed to give you focused, personalised insight without needing to book a consultation.
You complete the questionnaire in your own time and receive your diagnosis by email.
Start with the first decision identified in your report.
You’ll also have your working page and pattern video to help you think it through.
I’ll email you one week after delivery to see how you’re getting on.
The Room Diagnostic is based on my own design methodology and framework.
AI helps me analyse your answers against that framework, but it does not replace my judgement.
I personally review every diagnosis before it is sent to you.
Reply to any Room Diagnostic email or contact Clarke & Co. using the contact details provided after purchase.
Refund requests must be made within seven days of purchase and before the questionnaire has been submitted.
Before you buy another thing for the room, find out what’s actually wrong.
You don’t need another round of random changes.
You need to know what deserves your attention, what can stay exactly as it is, and what decision comes first.
